First Congressional District Office, ESDEVCO turns over solar panels to school
DAVAO CITY – The Escandor Development Corporation (ESDEVCO), through First Congressional District Representative Paolo Z. Duterte, donated four solar panels to Jesus J. Soriano National High School (JJSNHS) in Barangay Catalunan Grande on March 29, Wednesday afternoon.
Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, on behalf of his father, Rep. Duterte, accompanied ESDEVCO chief executive officer (CEO) Glenn Escandor to turn over the solar panels donated by the latter through the First Congressional District Office.

QUEZON CITY - Lawmakers led by Davao City First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte have proposed a measure that aims to encourage more young Filipinos to pursue a career in agriculture and take on the challenges facing this vital sector.
With Benguet Rep. Eric Yap and ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Edvic Yap, Duterte filed House Bill 7572 that aims to provide subsidies to children of qualified indigent farmers who will enroll in agriculture courses and other related fields of study in state universities and colleges (SUCs), on top of the free tuition offered under Republic Act 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.

DAVAO CITY – First Congressional District Representative Paolo Z. Duterte released on March 18, Saturday, his accomplishments from October 2022 to March 2023 as a second-term member of the House of Representatives (HOR).
Rep. Duterte highlighted the 39 House Bills he had authored, of which one was enacted into law, while others are still pending in the different committees in the HOR, and some were already sent and received by the Senate for reading.

DAVAO CITY - A group of lawmakers have filed a measure that, if enacted, would provide free legal education to aspiring lawyers in state universities and colleges (SUCs) in exchange for working in the government for two years after they pass the bar exams.
Davao City First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte, along with Benguet Rep. Eric Yap and ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Edvic Yap, proposed the measure to address the shortfall of practicing lawyers in the country, which, according to them, “undermines the legal representation of every Filipino, and overall, the national justice system.”

11,000 marginalized workers receive cash aid from First Congressional District Office, DOLE
DAVAO CITY – The Office of First Congressional District Representative Paolo Z. Duterte, with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 11, so far aided over 10,000 identified beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) since 2022.
The First Congressional District Office recorded 11,019 beneficiaries received their TUPAD payout since October 2022, including the 580 beneficiaries – vendors, tailors, school maintenance, hair stylists/barbers, and cobbler, among others – who received the assistance on February 20, 2023.

Rep. Duterte turns over multi-purpose building, evacuation center to Brgy. 20-B
DAVAO CITY – First Congressional District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, represented by his son, Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, turned over a multi-purpose building and evacuation center in Barangay 20-B Poblacion here on March 8, Wednesday afternoon.
Rigo, who arrived at the venue on behalf of his father, turned over the multi-purpose building and evacuation center during the celebration of the 48th Araw ng Barangay. All the staff and residents warmly received Rigo, who said he was glad to be part of the turnover.

Rep. Duterte: Persons found guilty of neglecting, abusing the elderly deserve to be in jail
DAVAO CITY - First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte and two other lawmakers have filed a measure that seeks to throw in jail persons found guilty of exploiting, neglecting, or abusing the elderly.
In filing House Bill (HB) 4696, Duterte, Benguet Rep. Eric Yap, and ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Edvic Yap also sought the establishment of senior citizen help desks in every barangay to provide immediate assistance to victim-survivors of elder abuse.

Housemaids receive souvenirs, cash aid from the First Congressional District Office
DAVAO CITY – At least 200 housemaids here received on March 5, Sunday, souvenirs and cash aid from the Office of First Congressional District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte during the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Kasambahay Day at SM Annex in Ecoland.
Rep. Duterte’s team, led by his son Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, distributed drawstring kit backpacks, reusable tote bags, and cash aid to all housemaids who attended the event dubbed “Kasambahay Fun Day.” Rigo came to the event as guest speaker for his father.

DAVAO CITY – First Congressional District Representative Paolo Z. Duterte presented on Thursday, March 2, reusable bags to attendees and spectators of the M.I.C.E. Conference (MICECON) at SMX Lanang Premier in Davao City.
M.I.C.E. stands for meetings, incentive travel, conventions, and exhibitions. It is a Philippine event representing specialized tourism sectors that necessitate higher standards of tourism services and facilities.

Rep. Duterte pushes free annual medical checkups for all Filipinos
QUEZON CITY - Davao City First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte and two other lawmakers want the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) to provide free annual medical checkups for all its members to ensure that every Filipino gets access to preventive care able to address potentially serious health conditions possibly in their early stages.
With all Filipinos automatically becoming Philhealth members under the Universal Health Care Act, free medical checkups should form part of their benefits, Duterte said.

Reps. Duterte, Yap: Law reducing prison time for inmates with good conduct should exclude heinous-crime convicts
QUEZON CITY - Davao City First Congressional District Representatives Paolo Duterte and Lone District, Benguet, Representative Eric Yap have sought the passage of a measure that would categorically exclude persons convicted of heinous crimes from availing themselves of the benefits of the law that cuts prison time for inmates with good behavior.
Duterte and Yap said the enactment of their proposed measure as outlined under House Bill (HB) 4649 aims to plug perceived loopholes in Republic Act (RA) 10592 or the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) law.

First Congressional District Office extends aid to fire victims in Barangays 21, 22, 23
DAVAO CITY - More or less 2,000 families affected by a recent huge fire incident here received immediate assistance from the Office of First Congressional District Representative Paolo "Pulong" Duterte.
Each family, who is currently sheltered at Barangay 21-C Gymnasium in Piapi Boulevard, received heavy snacks and dinner from the lawmaker's office on February 25, Saturday afternoon.
Rep. Duterte's staff also distributed emergency food packs the following day, February 26, in the same place while assessing the situation of the fire victims. The lawmaker's office will also provide hot meals for the victim for five days.
