“I have no reason to withhold what is meant for the people. In my few years as a congressman here in Davao, especially during the pandemic, everyone knows about the aid we distributed, which exceeded what the current administration provided, including my personal funds,” Duterte said

DSWD continues to provide aid for individuals in crisis
THE Department of Social Welfare and Development-Davao Region (DSWD-Davao) clarified that despite the rumors circulating, the agency continues to provide medical and burial assistance and other support services to Davao constituents.
Prior to this, Davao City First District Representative Paolo ‘Pulong’ Duterte, in a statement posted on Monday, July 8, 2024, said that the Davao City government has no plans nor intention to stop the assistance which includes financial and medical support to cater to the vulnerable sectors.

Paolo “Pulong” Duterte on Monday said his office has temporarily suspended its medical assistance program for his constituents as the Department of Social and Welfare Development (DSWD) is no longer funding such services to favor another party list.
Reacting to the statement of Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta (PBA) party list representative Migs Nograles, Duterte alleged that DSWD funds are being used for politics, claiming that the agency is favoring another party list’s projects in an attempt to destroy them.

Rep. Duterte slams black propaganda
DAVAO CITY – Rep. Paolo Z. Duterte dismissed as black propaganda a notice to the public posted outside his office here that said that they have temporarily stopped medical assistance for private hospitals in this city due to lack of funding from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
“We apologize for any inconvenience and sadness this may cause. We will let you know if additional funds become available. Thank you very much,” said the notice written in the local dialect and circulated on Facebook and Twitter.

Rep. Pulong is Davao City’s best-performing congressman
Davao City First Congressional District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte received the most vote as top performing lawmaker in Davao City and third in Davao Region based on a survey conducted by the RP-Mission Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD).
According to the survey, Rep. Pulong achieved an 87.3 percent job satisfaction rating, leading over Davao City’s Third District representative, Isidro T. Ungab, who scored 83.6 percent, and the Second District representative, Vincent J. Garcia, who received 70.2 percent.

Bill that seeks to open new TESDA district office in Davao City passed
House Bill (HB) 9926, derived from HB 1756 that was filed by Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte was passed by the House of Representatives last month.
The two bills have the same purpose, which is to open a new district office of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in Davao City.
