Duterte brothers among top performing mayors, solons
THE Duterte siblings, Paolo and Sebastian, have earned spots on the Top Performing City Mayors and District Representatives list in the Philippines, according to the recent RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) survey.
Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte secured the fourth position in a nationwide survey with a rating of 86.51 percent. He shared this distinction with accomplished city mayors, such as Jerry Treñas of Iloilo (86.78 percent), Ma. Ester Hamor of Sorsogon City (86.63 percent), and Vilma Caluag of San Fernando City (86.55 percent).

Solon pushes farmers’ protection
To protect the country’s farmers from usurious lenders, marked by excessive loan interest rates and unauthorized lending practices, Davao City First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte has filed a bill intended for the institutionalization of the accepted interest rates on the loans of farmers and providing sanctions for those who will violate the measure.

Rep. Pulong pushes for passage of bill that grant rental subsidies to informal settlers
Davao City First Congressional District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte is pushing for the passage of a law that would grant rental subsidies to eligible informal settlers in the country.
The bill aims to help families living in hazardous areas or those rendered homeless by calamities to avail themselves of safe and decent shelter.
House Bill (HB) 455 or The Rental Housing Subsidy Program Act as proposed by Rep. Pulong, Benguet Rep. Eric Yap and ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Edvic Yap also covers informal settler families (ISFs) who do not have legal claims to the lots or houses they occupy.
