Rep. Paolo Duterte extends aid to families affected by 4 Davao fire incidents

DAVAO CITY – Closed to 80 families from four separate fire incidents here this month had received relief and cash assistance from the Office of First Congressional District Rep. Paolo Duterte.
Rep. Duterte’s son, Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, led the distribution of food packs, cash aid, and over 300 hot porridges to affected families and individuals in barangays 76-A, 23-C, 37-D, and 6-A.
The first district office noted three families received assistance in 76-A Bucana on February 18, 19 at the Purok 2-A in 23-C on Feb. 17, 35 at Purok-5 in 37-D on Feb. 16, and one in 6-A on Feb. 8.
Rep. Duterte’s office also prepared and distributed a packed lunch for five days to help lessen the burdens of the fire victims sheltering at their respective barangay gymnasium during recovery.
The Bureau of Fire Protection here bared during the Davao Peace and Security Press Corp briefing in a hotel on Wednesday with 99 fire incidents in the city from January 1 to February 19 this year.
City Fire District Intelligence and Investigation Section head Fire Senior Inspector Shaira Borja said these fire incidents are already closer to the 128 recorded in the first two months of 2024.
Rigo, on behalf of his father, vowed to continue delivering prompt assistance to families affected by disasters. He also encouraged everyone always to stay cautious to avoid unfortunate incidents.
