DAVAO CITY – Children at Catotal Home for Child Therapy and Learning Center, Inc. were thrilled to receive on Tuesday, November 10, the cooking equipment donated by First Congressional District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte.
The Catotal Home for Child Therapy and Learning Center is giving services to children with special needs specifically children with autism, down syndrome, and the like.
Rep. Duterte sent numbers of induction stoves with cookware set following a request letter from the owner of the center, Wenoli Miranda Guerrero. He said in his letter that the center is using the rural style in cooking – that is using charcoal in a blower type fabricated cement stove. He added that he opted to make such a request for the safety of their children at the center.
“I have discovered the availability of induction stove with timer which is easier to manage by kids because of no open fire/burning coal being produced, no hot surfaces to burn their skin and has timer to automatically shut off for safety measures,” Guerrero said.
The young congressman is not only known in helping his constituents in the first district and other two districts of the city, but he also has a heart for young children, especially to those in need of support.
