DAVAO CITY – Almost 70 families affected by separate fire incidents here received relief assistance from the Office of First Congressional District Representative Paolo Z. Duterte last week.

Rep. Duterte’s staff distributed food packs and cash assistance to 11 house owners and 11 sharers at Mineral Village in Barangay 19-B in Bajada on Friday, January 12. 

 

The fire victims in Mineral Village also received a packed lunch for one week since Saturday. The First Congressional District Office aimed to improve the food supply of families affected by fire.

Davao firefighters noted the fire gutted down several houses at Mineral Village in the late evening of Thursday, January 11. The victims are temporarily placed at the covered court in the area.

Some 45 families who were victims of the fire incident at Sabroso Village in Ecoland also received the same assistance from Rep. Duterte’s office on January 11.

 

Rep. Duterte’s staff also aided fire victims in Bunawan District and Marapangi in Toril District, on Monday, January 15.

Fire victims thanked Congressman Pulong, as the latter fondly called by the people here, saying that the aid would help them cope somehow with the loss and the disruption of their livelihood.

Rep. Duterte’s office aided 1,512 fire victims per family last year. The lawmaker vowed to continue helping underserved communities.
