DAVAO CITY – The First Congressional District Office will continue to deliver successful programs and services in 2021 to address the concerns of the public.
First District Representative Paolo Z. Duterte's office issued such statement following the successful distribution of cash assistance to fire victims, marginalized and displaced workers this month.
A total of this year’s 952 fire victims, from districts one, two, and three in the city, received the cash assistance at Davao People's Park on December 30, Wednesday morning.
Referees, coaches, terminal vendors, janitorial staff of private and public schools, KTV employees, drivers and others, from the first district, are also set to receive the same assistance in the coming days.
"We will continue to identify those who need help amidst this COVID-19 crisis. However, we are prioritizing fire victims now and we will proceed with the other sectors in the next days," Duterte's office said.
The young congressman assured that the cash assistance will be distributed solely to the most affected in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis.
Duterte’s office has coordinated with the Department of Labor and Employment and Department of Social Welfare and Development for the activity which aims to ease the daily living expenses of the beneficiaries.
