DAVAO CITY – The First Congressional District Office, headed by Representative Paolo Z. Duterte, accepts scholarship applicants for Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) program.

 

The Tesda Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) aims to continue filling up the skills gaps and job requirements of priority industries and sectors with high employment demand, improving the reach of quality TVET to the grassroots.

Tesda encourages technical-vocational institutions to offer the program with higher qualifications catering to in-demand industry requirements. This shall support the government’s thrust of rapid, inclusive, and sustained economic growth.

Rep. Duterte’s office is seeking beneficiaries of the program with the following qualifications: (1) must be eighteen (18) years old at the time the scholarship finishes the Tesda’s training program, and (2) must be a high school graduate.

Here are the following scholarship programs offered by the First Congressional District Office: 

•Automotive Servicing NC I

•Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I

•Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II

•Health Care Services NC II

•Computer Systems Servicing NC II

•Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II

The abovementioned courses are available at the following institutions:

•Davao Institute of Technical Education, Inc.

•Toyozu Technical School Foundaton, Inc.

•Efficio Training, Inc.

•St. Patrick Math-Sci School, Inc.

•Core Institute of Technology, Inc.

Rep. Duterte said Tesda has been very important in helping Filipinos upgrade and reskill. He added that to keep up and create graduates with the necessary skills, Tesda needs constantly improve its programs and services.
