A BILL has been filed in the House of Representatives mandating the government to purchase produce from local farmers for calamity relief operations and school feeding programs.

Upang masiguro na walang masasayang sa mga ani at matiyak ang kita ng mga magsasaka, dalawang panukalang batas ang inihain sa Kamara nina Davao Rep. Paolo Duterte at Benguet Rep. Eric Yap na magoobliga sa national government at local government unit(LGUs) na direktang bilhin ang mga ani ng mga local growers gayundin ang pagtatag ng drying facilities para sa mga palay.
