MANILA, Philippines — Papatawan ng P5 milyong multa ang mga medical facilities na lalabag sa Anti-Hospital Deposit Law o tatangging tanggapin at gamutin ang pasyente na walang inisyal na bayad o deposito.

Ito’y sakaling maisabatas ang House Bill (HB) 3046 o ang Anti-Hospital Deposit Law na inihain ni 1st District Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte at tatlong pang mga mambabatas sa Kamara.

Magandang balita ang planong ipapatupad na ang probisyon sa Republic Act (RA) 11201 para matukoy kung alin-alin ang mga nakatiwangwang na mga lupain ng gobyerno na maaring patayuan ng pabahay.

Ang RA 11201 na nagtatag sa Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) ay pinirmahan ng aking ama, ang dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, noong Pebrero 2019. Pagkatapos mabuo ang DHSUD, agad na umarangkada ito para matupad ang plano ng Pangulong Duterte na mabigyan ng disenteng pabahay ang mga homeless at mahihirap na pamilya.

Sa House Bill 4807 ni Duterte ay nais nitong patawan ng 2 hanggang 4 na taong kulong ang mga magulang na paulit-ulit na tumantangging magbigay ng financial support sa kanilang mga anak at multa na aabot sa P100,000 hanggang P300,000.

Posible ng makulong at pagmultahin ang mga magulang na walang pakialam sa mga anak.

Ipinanukala ni Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte at tatlo pang mambabatas na ikulong at pagmultahin ang mga magulang na hindi nagbibigay ng sustento sa kanilang anak o mga anak.

Sa ilalim ng House Bill 4807 o Child Support Responsibility Act, nais ni Duterte na parusahan ang mga magulang na hindi magbibigay ng sustento sa mga anak.

Parents who fail to provide support to their children may face a minimum of two years in prison and a fine of no less than P100,000.

Under the proposed House Bill 4807, “deadbeat” parents or those who are found to have “deliberately” and “repeatedly” neglected their obligation will be sentenced to two to four years in prison, depending on the court’s discretion, and fined between P100,000 and P300,000.
