Ayon kay Duterte, ang pagbibigay ng tax incentive ay isang paraan upang kilalanin ang kabutihang ginagawa ng mga doktor upang makapaghatid ng de kalidad na serbisyo sa mga walang pambayad.

Sa House Bill 5672 na akda nina Duterte, Benguet Rep. Eric Yap at ACT-CIS partylist Representatives Edvic Yap at Jeffrey Soriano, kinilala ang mga doktor na tumutulong umano sa mga mahihirap may pandemya man o wala.

Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte has filed a measure seeking to grant tax incentives to doctors volunteering their services for free to indigent patients.

Duterte said the tax break is a way of recognizing their “selfless and committed” efforts in helping provide quality healthcare to poor Filipinos.

In House Bill 5672, Duterte along with his co-authors Benguet Rep. Eric Yap and ACT-CIS party-list Representatives Edvic Yap and Jeffrey Soriano, lauded doctors who, with or without the pandemic, have “braved the frontlines” to be able to extend their services for free to underprivileged and marginalized Filipinos.

DAVAO City First District Representative Paolo Duterte is urging the Senate to pass its counterpart Bill, which would provide free legal assistance to men and women in uniform facing charges.

House Bill (HB) 6509, a consolidation of the bill jointly filed by Duterte and Benguet Rep. Eric Yap, along with other similar measures, covers military and uniformed personnel (MUP) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

The bill was recently passed on its third and final reading at the Lower House.

Records at the congressman’s office showed that residents of 54 barangays in his first legislative district in Davao City have received their cash assistance under the TUPAD program before the year ended.

Duterte did so that he could ensure a happier celebration of the holidays for his constituents in the first district, which has 54 barangays.

TUPAD is a community–based cash assistance program that offers emergency employment for displaced, underemployed, and seasonal workers, for a minimum period of 10 days, but not more than 30 days, depending on the nature of work.
