The district office of Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 11 have provided assistance to thousands of indigent residents through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.

Duterte’s office said since October 2022, 11,019 beneficiaries have benefitted from the TUPAD program. The number includes the 580 residents who received assistance last February 20.

Duterte underscored the importance of the TUPAD program in helping indigent families during challenging times.

Ayon sa tanggapan ni Duterte, mula Oktobre 2022 ay umabot na sa 11,019 ang nagbenepisyo sa TUPAD program sa kanilang distrito. Kasama na rito ang 580 residente na natulungan ng programa noong Pebrero 20.

Binigyan-diin ni Duterte ang kahalagahan ng TUPAD program sa pagtulong sa mga nangangailangan.

Ang TUPAD ay isang community-based program na nagbibigay ng pansamantalang trabaho sa mga naalis sa trabaho o walang mapasukang trabaho. Tumatagal ito ng 10 hanggang 30 araw depende sa gagawin.

Kasama sa pansamantalang trabaho ang paglilinis sa komunidad at pagtatanim ng puno.

A statement released by Duterte's office Tuesday morning, March 14, bared that 11,019 beneficiaries have received their Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) payout since October 2022.

These individuals include vendors, tailors, school maintenance, hair stylists/barbers, and cobblers, among others.

Nakapaloob sa panukalang batas na maaaring makulong ang sino mang guilty sa pananamantala, kapabayaan at pang aabuso.

Layon din nito na magkaroon ng desk sa bawat barangay upang agad na maaksyonan ang nasabing isyu.

AT least three proposed laws were filed in the House of Representatives to champion people’s interest, including a measure that seeks to improve maternal and newborn care and provide maximum safeguards to Filipino mothers at the time of their childbirths.

House Bill (HB) No. 5684, or An Act Safeguarding the Health of Filipino Mothers at the Time of Their Childbirth, filed by Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar aims to reduce maternal deaths by providing birthing facilities for every barangay in the country.

Worse, many cases of elder abuse go unreported and unpunished. Our bill aims to prevent these.”

Edvic Yap, hiniling din nito ang pagtatatag ng mga senior citizen help desk sa bawat barangay upang magbigay ng agarang tulong sa mga biktima na nakaligtas sa pang-aabuso sa matatanda.
