A CONGRESSMAN is the top performer among Davao Region’s representatives in Congress according to a survey done by an independent polling firm.

Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, who got 81.3 percent of the vote from respondents polled by the RP-Mission Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD), was joined by Davao de Oro 1st District Rep. Maria Carmen Zamora in the first-place ranking.

The RPMD’s House of Representatives Public Satisfaction survey in the Davao Region formed part of its national “Boses ng Bayan” survey conducted from February 25-March 8, 2023 in every legislative district, with a total of 10,000 respondents who are registered voters.

“The consistent congestion in these airports necessitates an increase and advancement in airport security facilities and equipment, particularly full body scanners and baggage scanners, in order to serve larger number of people as well as ensure public safety in exercise of every citizen’s right to travel,” sabi ng mga mambabatas sa resolusyon.

TWO solons have urged the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to check the status of, and upgrade, the security facilities in the country’s airports to lessen congestion in passenger terminals and heighten measures on ensuring public safety.

In filing a House resolution 921, Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte and Benguet Rep. Eric Yap said the DOTR should incorporate in its proposed budget for 2024 the expenditures needed to improve these facilities given the ever-increasing number of travelers going in and out of the country.

On the occasion of Earth Month this April, Davao City 1st district Rep. Paolo Dutere is highlighting a measure he filed earlier in the 19th Congress seeking to regulate the manufacture, sale, use, and importation of single-use plastic products.

The measure, House Bill (HB) No.507, also covers the distribution, recovery, collection, recycling, and disposal of single-use plastic products.

It has been pending before the Committee on Ecology since July 26, 2022.

Muling nanawagan si Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte na ipasa ang panukala na magre-regulate sa paggawa, pagbebenta at paggamit ng single-use plastic sa bansa.

Ginawa ni Duterte ang panawagang ipasa ang panukalang Single-Use Plastic Products Regulation Act (House Bill 507) ngayong Abril na itinakda bilang Earth Month. Sa Abril 22 ay ipagdiriwang naman ang Earth Day.
