Sa ilalim ng House Bill 7573 na inakda nina Davao Rep. Paolo Duterte, Benguet Rep. Eric Yap at ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Edvic Yap ay isinisulong na gawing Salary Grade 13 ang entry level o katumbas ng P31,320 ang sahod ng public social workers mula sa dating Salary Grade 10 na P23,176.

Pay hike para sa mga public social workers iminungkahi
ISINUSULONG ng isang Mindanao congressman ang pagpapataas sa sahod ng mga public social workers o magkaroon ng “pay hike” bilang pagkilala sa kanilang walang kaparis at hindi matatawarang serbisyo para paglingkuran ang mahihirap at iba pang naghihikahos na mamamayan.
Inihain ni Davao City 1st Dist. Congressman Paolo “Polong” Z. Duterte ang House Bill No. 7573 sa Kamara de Representantes na naglalayong magkaroon ng salary hike o entry-level pay para sa mga public social workers mula Salary Grade 10 na nagkakahalaga ng P23,176. Nais ng mambabatas na gawin itong Salary Grade 13 na may katumbas na P31,320.

Lawmakers are pushing for an increase in the compensation of public social workers in recognition of the indispensable role that these unsung heroes play in providing assistance to the poor and other vulnerable sectors of society.
Under House Bill (HB) 7573, Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte, Benguet Rep. Eric Yap and ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Edvic Yap proposed that the entry-level pay of public social workers be increased from Salary Grade 10 or P23,176, to Salary Grade 13, which is equivalent to P31,320.

Eric Yap filed a proposed measure mandating all hospitals, medical centers, clinics and other health institutions giving frontline medical services to provide free medical treatment to indigent children.
House Bill 7866, also known as the Indigent Children Free Medical and Dental Service Act, requires the giving of free medical and dental services to indigent children or those who are below 18 years of age and whose parents or guardians have no means of providing for their immediate health needs.

House OKs Bill Granting P1 Million To Pinoys Age 101
In pushing for the bill’s approval, Senior Citizens party-list Rep. Rodolfo Ordanes said widening the coverage of the cash grant would not only help them and their families financially, but will also boost the elderly’s morale.
As session resumed on Monday, May 8, the House of Representatives approved on third and final reading a bill increasing the cash gift for Filipino centenarians who reach 101 years old from P100,000 to P1 million.
