MANILA — A lawmaker has offered a P1 million reward for anyone who could identify the suspect behind the rape with homicide of a 28-year old female architect in Calinan, Davao City.

DAVAO CITY – First congressional district Rep. Paolo Duterte has offered a P1-million cash reward to any individual who can provide information leading to the arrest of the suspect in the killing of an architect whose body was found in a banana plantation in Barangay Dacudao in Calinan District here last week.

Police had earlier confirmed that the 28-year-old victim, Vlanche Marie Bragas, a resident of Megaville here, was sexually assaulted before she was murdered by still unidentified suspects.

Davao police earlier confirmed that the 28-year-old victim, Vlanche Marie Bragas, a resident of Megaville, was also sexually assaulted before she was murdered by still unidentified suspect/s. The police found her cadaver in Dacudao at around 8 a.m. on May 17 following reports from concerned citizens.

ADMINISTRATION lawmakers have filed a bill seeking to increase the entry-level pay of public social workers in recognition of the indispensable role they play in providing assistance to the poor and other vulnerable sectors of society.

Reps. Paolo Duterte of Davao City, Eric Yap of Benguet and Edvic Yap (PL, ACT-CIS) filed House Bill (HB) 7573 seeking to increase the entry-level pay of public social workers from Salary Grade 10 or P23,176, to Salary Grade 13, which is equivalent to P31,320.

LAWMAKERS led by Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte have pushed for the increase in pay of public social workers in recognition of the indispensable role that these unsung heroes play in assisting the poor and other vulnerable sectors of society.

Under House Bill (HB) 7573, Duterte, Benguet Rep. Eric Yap, and ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Edvic Yap have proposed that the entry-level pay of public social workers be increased from Salary Grade 10 or P23,176 to Salary Grade 13, which is equivalent to P31,320.
