Solon bats for regulation of motorcycles-for-hire
A LAWMAKER called for the need to pass a measure regulating motorcycles-for-hire, with several related bills pending in Congress.
“The bills filed for the purpose of regulating this cheap and convenient mode of transportation will also ensure that all riders are properly screened and trained, and will follow the speed limit mandated under the measure to ensure the safety of their passengers,” Davao City Rep. Paolo Z. Duterte said in a statement on Thursday.

Rep. Paolo Duterte highlights achievements in first year at House
DAVAO CITY – First Congressional District Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte has consistently demonstrated a solid commitment to enhancing the well-being of the people he served, as shown in his accomplishments in his first year as a second termer in the House of Representatives (HOR).
The lawmaker released on June 30, Friday afternoon, his accomplishments from July 2022 to June 2023. He highlighted the 169 House Bills he had authored, of which five were enacted into law, while others are still pending in the different committees in the HOR, and some were in the Senate for reading.

Davao solon’s initiatives help 163,000 individuals
Workers in the informal sector and senior citizens comprise almost half of the 163,000 individuals who directly benefited from the various initiatives of Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte in his first year in the 19th Congress.
Congressional records showed that as of June 2023, Duterte authored 169 national and local bills, many of which aim to safeguard the welfare of senior citizens, persons with disabilities, seafarers, security guards, freelance workers, public school teachers, overseas Filipino workers, farmers and fisherfolk, media workers, calamity victims and other marginalized sectors.
