DAVAO CITY – First Congressional District Representative Paolo Z. Duterte encouraged barangays that had just observed their ‘Araw ng Barangay’ to strengthen their unity and keep serving their constituents.

“I hope you will strengthen the unity you are doing and continue supporting all the programs and projects in your barangays,” said Rep. Duterte in a speech read for him by his son Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II.

Rigo took center stage, on behalf of his father, to greet the constituents of the First Congressional District and congratulate the officials and members of the Sangguniang Barangay for all their hard work.

The young congressman also encouraged all the barangay officials and members to continue supporting the initiatives of the City Government of Davao, as the success of the city is the pride of every Dabawenyo.

“Once again, to all the constituents of 12-B and 13-B, Happy Araw ng Barangay. I am happy to be part of this celebration and I therefore consider this as a big honor to be given this opportunity,” Rep. Duterte said.
