First District Office, Dole-Davao distributes cash aid to over 1,000 TUPAD beneficiaries

DAVAO CITY - Around 1, 210 marginalized workers from the first district received on Monday, August 17, their cash assistance from the Office of the First District at The People's Park.
Office of the First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) distributed cash assistance to workers affected of the crisis brought about by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
These workers were among the thousand regular beneficiaries who received cash aid from the government’s assistance program Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD), to mitigate the impact of the national health emergency due to coronavirus.
Rep. Duterte's office said that the beneficiaries were residents of the 54 barangays under the first district. They were earlier assigned with different chores under the 10-day work program.
The registered beneficiaries received P3,960 cash assistance based on the prevailing highest minimum wage in Davao Region as per DOLE.
Rep. Duterte's office has been providing assistance - focusing on the poorest of the poor - to residents/beneficiaries from 54 barangays in the first district.
